  • The Stone Roses cancel their Saturday headline slot due to John Squire breaking his collarbone

    Replaced by Pulp.

  • Alister Sieghart: Creates the festival's vehicle entry management system

    Together with Dick Sheppard and Simon Hicks, the Vehicle Gate Managers. This system has now been copied by many other festivals around the country.
